British Science Week at Children 1st @ Toton
Early Years had so much fun participating in lots of different experiments for British Science Week!
The children completed experiments including making egg parachutes and experimenting with them from the raised decked area, bubble painting using straws, making mini volcanoes and mixing baking soda and vinegar to inflate balloons.
The children also explored the concepts of floating and sinking making predictions before experimenting. They found the ‘Skittle’ experiment fascinating as they learnt about dissolving and what happens to the coloured shells when they added water.
The children also visualised the process of how it rains when completing our ‘raincloud’ experiment and recorded their findings after.
As you can see from the pictures, the children really enjoyed this week and asked lots of questions whilst sharing their own thoughts and explanations during each experiment.
