Busy Times at Children 1st @ Leicester - Children 1st Day Nurseries

Busy Times at Children 1st @ Leicester

Wow! Everybody has been so busy, so we thought we’d share this round up of some of our favourite activities.

Peter Rabbits loved their trip to the moon when they recreated the story of ‘Whatever Next!’ by Jill Murphy. They dressed up with a space helmet made from a sieve and space boots made from wellington boots. They then jumped into their rocket which was made from a box and flew to the moon to have a picnic before returning to nursery.

We’re all looking forward to seeing Peter Rabbits next story adventure.

The babies have been very hands on enjoying painting on tin foil. They could feel all the different textures that come with this activity.  Feeling, hearing, and seeing the different effects they made as they sloshed the paint around made this a very enjoyable activity.

The Benjamin Bunnies have been busy making biscuits. They were able to use their fine motor skills to balance the flour and tip it into the bowl. They carefully poured the milk in as well as all the other ingredients. They used the shape they wanted to cut their biscuit and then enjoyed decorating the final result!

At the end of the day all the children were able to take their biscuit home and share it with their families!

We hope you enjoy looking through the gallery of busy times here at Leicester!
