Easter Themed Stay and Play at Children 1st @ Hathern
Last weekend our Hathern nursery held an Easter themed ‘Stay and Play’ for parents and children to come and enjoy.
In Under 2’s the children and parents loved exploring the mint smelling play dough, rolling it out and using the cutters to make different shapes. The children also enjoyed exploring the Easter sensory tray and showing their parents the different toys at nursery such as the dolls, slide and musical ball run.
Upstairs in Peter Rabbits the children and parents enjoyed cutting the play dough using play dough scissors and using different rollers to make prints. They also had fun doing some Easter colouring and eating the lovely snacks and drinks available for parents and children. Biscuit decorating was also lots of fun and a little messy with the different coloured icing and sprinkles too.
Early Years were busy making Easter hats, exploring the carrot and rabbit number sensory tray, as well as moulding the play dough into shapes and patterns on the playdough Easter mats. The children and the parents also enjoyed talking part in ‘the floor is lava’ challenge, using the large wooden blocks to stand on safely without getting burnt by the lava!
Such a lovely day! It was so nice to see children and their families enjoying themselves and taking part in the activities. Thank-you to everyone who came along.
