Everyone’s A Valentine at Children 1st Day Nurseries

Several of our nurseries were transformed into a wonderland of red and pink as the children enjoyed a day dedicated to thinking about the special people in their lives and what it means to be a friend.

The Peter Rabbits at Acorns made the day extra special by opening the doors to those special people with a lovely Stay and Play session. Family members were busy making clay hearts, enjoying refreshments and checking out all the children’s favourite activities.

Over at Meir Park, the Peter Rabbits were busy exploring the Valentine’s textures tuff spot, making a big heart and using the pincers to grab onto the coloured pom poms.

Sheffield’s children arrived to find the nursery transformed with a beautiful balloon arch. The nursery council were in action coming up with ideas to make the day as successful as it was. A host of themed activities, including friendship dancing, made this a super day. Heart cupcakes and jam sandwiches made for a lovely Valentine’s tea to round off the day.

Elsewhere, at Grantham, St. Peter and St. Paul and Toton, hands-on activities ranged from making special treats such as chocolate covered fruity kebabs and heart shaped cakes and biscuits, to exploring tuff spots full of coloured shaving foam, manipulating play dough and shaping with heart shaped cutters and making cards.
