Exploring the beach at Children 1st @ St Peter St Paul!
During the summer term, the early years children at our St Peter St Paul nursery have planned and selected their own topics. Last week, they chose to explore and learn ‘The Beach’!
Everyone thoroughly enjoyed finding ways to explore and learn through the beach theme. The children wanted to create their own ice pops, so they used some tasty juice and real fruit to make ice lollies and ice cubes to cool them down.
They also decided to make their very own flip flops, so designed and came up with their own ideas to create them. The fun part was trying to walk in them….!
The children were curious about shells, so used their imaginations, used shells within their counting skills, explored shapes by making castles in the sand and even writing their names in the sand too.
What a great week they had, with so much fun learning involved too!
