Fantastic Firefighters at Children 1st @ Clowne

We would like to say a huge thank-you to the fantastic firefighters from Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service who visited us as part of our “People Who Help Us” topic.

The children loved asking lots of questions ranging from, “What do you have for your tea?” to “Do you use the water hydrant if you run out of water?”

Looking at and sitting inside the fire engine was a huge treat and then everyone listened really well as the firefighters showed them all the equipment carried by the machine.

Our younger Peter Rabbits and Bobtails children also enjoyed a visit to the fire engine. There were lots of smiley faces and giggles when they saw the big red fire engine.

We finished off our visit from the firefighters by watching the bright flashing lights on the engine and listening to the super loud sirens.

Thank-you to our parents and the community for supporting us with our “People Who Help Us” topic.  We still have some exciting visits coming up including the Police, the local vet and some specially trained Guide Dogs.
