Fire Safety Messages at Children 1st @ Bilborough

“I want to be a fireman when I grow up!” said Lucas. The recent visit from the fire fighters at Stockhill Fire Station certainly made a big impact!

The fire fighters came to talk to the children about keeping safe around fire and the action to take if ever they came across one. The children enjoyed asking lots of questions and answering all the questions that the fire fighters asked them.

The shiny red fire engine was a huge hit and even though the children could not sit in the cab because of Covid safety measures, they were excited to see and hear about all the equipment carried on the machine.  After listening to the loud siren Zahira said,”It says nee naw, nee naw!” Theo loved the warning lights. “It has blue and red flashy lights!”

Best of all, the children  were able to take turns holding the water hose! This was so exciting and the whole experience showed how much the children learn from visits such as this.

A huge thankyou to both teams from Stockhill for taking time out of their busy working day to visit our nursery!
