Fruity Rockets at Children 1st @ Acorns Upper Tean

The Peter Rabbits have been having a go at cutting their own fruit for snack and then placing the fruit to make a rocket shape.

We talked about how we needed to hold our knife and which way up it needed to go and then Miss Jess and Miss Charlotte demonstrated this for us first before the children all took it in turns for themselves.

Afterwards we turned our fruit into rockets! We used a rocket template and tried to match the shape of our fruit to the shape of the rocket. Theo told us that rockets, “Go in the sky.” Once we had shown off our amazing fruit rockets, we ate all of the yummy fruit for our snack! Great work everyone!
