Going Pink in Support of Ashgate Hospice at Children 1st @ Chesterfield Royal Hospital
Last week the nursery turned pink to raise money for Ashgate Hospice. Located in Old Brampton, Chesterfield, the hospice provides excellent palliative and end-of-life care and bereavement support for the people of North Derbyshire and beyond in times of need. Fundraising is the hospice’s main source of income and we were pleased to play a small part in helping to raise the funds needed to continue the specialist services they provide.
During the week, our nursery was transformed into a sea of pink. Children and grown-ups dressed in pink, our activities took on a pink glow and we held a pink themed cake sale.
All our pinkness brought a lot of fun to nursery and raised a total of £150 for Ashgate Hospice.
Thank-you to everyone for getting involved in our pink week and helping to make it such a success.
