Harvest Gatherings at Children 1st Day Nurseries
A big THANK-YOU to all our families who have so generously donated food for the Harvest Festival celebrations that have taken place across so many Children 1st nurseries. A fantastic collection of food has been gathered. The children have enjoyed talking about the items donated and the older ones have been busy sorting them ready for collection. These food collections will make a difference to those in need in our communities.
Alongside the food collections, harvest is a special time of year in our nurseries as we talk about the crops and how they are gathered from the fields and have fun with a range of activities. From harvesting the crops grown in our nursery gardens, to making scarecrows, decorating pumpkins, singing seasonal songs and dressing-up, it’s been a wonderful time.
Some nurseries shared the celebration with families who popped along for ‘Stay and Play’ sessions and to share harvest teas. Thank-you to everyone who was able to join our celebrations.
Please enjoy a selection of photographs from Clowne, Chesterfield Royal Hospital, Grantham, Newark Town, Plumtree, Rosemary Lane and Toton.
