How does Your Garden Grow? at Children 1st @ Main Street
Our Peter Rabbit children have been exploring the topic of ‘Growing.’
They’ve been talking about the different plants that can be grown in the garden. They spoke about the flowers they see in the garden and their pretty colours.
Miss Hayley asked the children to name some vegetables that can be grown in the garden. Carrots and potatoes were a popular choice!
The children went out into the garden and used spades to prepare the soil for planting mixed flower seeds and then sowed them into the ground.
After planting, they watered the tiny seeds to help them get off to a good start. We’ll be watching closely to see how our flowers grow and, hopefully in the summer, we’ll have some colourful plants for everyone to enjoy.
