It’s All Bread and Boats at Children 1st @ Syston!

The Peter Rabbit children have enjoyed making their own bread which links in with our story of ‘The Little Red Hen’ and our theme of traditional stories and rhymes.

They enjoyed talking about the different ingredients needed to make bread, the textures and the smells. Using their fine motor movements, they showed how clever they were at kneading the dough and shaping the bread.

The children were also very busy being creative and helping to make and decorate their own boat, an activity which links in with our theme of travel and journeys.

Not only were the children creative, they used their imaginations to act out roles and build stories around the boat with their friends. Well done Peter Rabbits!
