Lava Flows at Children 1st @ Rosemary Lane
The Early Years have had so much fun finding out about volcanoes and discovering how we could make our model erupt.
Firstly, the children used the lemon juice to see if the volcano would react which it did. “Look it’s fizzing!” Once the volcano started to erup the children enjoyed using their hands to describe how this felt, it was “smooth” and “foamy.”
They then wanted to use some vinegar to see if it would fizz even more. They carefully used their pipets to squeeze in the vinegar and wow, the foam expanded even more!
We had the best time exploring the eruption with different tools, as well as using the dinosaurs to explore in the gloop that we had created.
