Life’s A Beach at Children 1st @ Buckinghams

To start our new Transport and Travel topic we decided to make the most of the glorious weather to enjoy a week of summer themed activities and head to the beach.

Soon everyone was busy building sandcastles and fishing in the sea. The ice lollies we decorated were so good we decided to open our own ice cream parlour!

Throughout the week the children have been sharing memories of their own holidays they have been on and talking about holidays they are going on soon!

Our under 2s have been cooling down in the paddling pool. They’ve had lots of fun splashing in the bubbles and looking closely at the coloured balls.

Peter Rabbits’ recent focus on Journeys saw them finding out about  travelling by aeroplane. We also made aeroplanes and then flew them outside.

We talked about what to pack in our suit cases, made passports and went to the airport and flew off to the sunny seaside where everyone loved playing on the beach!

No wonder life is a beach at Buckinghams!
