Mission Pudsey! at Children 1st @ Toton
Inspired by the BBC’s Children in Need Appeal and its mascot Pudsey Bear, the children at Toton have been creating their own Pudsey art. They’ve been busy potato printing and making paper plate Pudseys, carefully applying bright yellow paint to make some fantastic images of this famous bear.
The early years have been learning about light and dark so they set about making a huge cellophane Pudsey bear through which they could shine their torches. Everyone worked together to build an image of Pudsey using collage materials. Later, in a darkened room, they were thrilled to see how their lights shone through the cellophane to create a coloured picture of Pudsey.
The little ones welcomed Pudsey into their garden and loved showing him round, taking him for rides on their wheeled toys. Knowing how much Pudsey loves books, the children shared some of their favourite new books with him.
The children have also been hard at work preparing for their Children in Need bake sale. With recipes to follow, ingredients to measure and mix, they made sure their baking would wow their customers at the sale and raise lots of money for Children in Need.
We hope you enjoy looking through the photos of Mission Pudsey.
