Out and About at Children 1st @ Newark Town

A group of our Early Years have been out and about visiting two of our great community assets here in Newark.

First of all, we popped into the local library and had a wonderful time browsing through the books.

What a wonderful collection of all kinds of books we discovered! It was lovely to explore the library environment and we even had the chance to play with some of the toys and do some colouring. As well as sharing some books at the library, we were able to bring a selection back to nursery to look at with our friends.

On our way back to nursery we walked through the new community garden which is next to the library. We enjoyed walking through the wildflowers, watching the bees hard at work and walking over the stream. This is such a beautiful garden. We loved the huge mural of the bird!

What a brilliant time we had exploring our community!
