Pie Week at Children 1 st @ Leek Pre-School

Leek Pre-School really enjoyed their recent visit to the local green grocers. As part of our celebration of ‘Pie Week,’ the children were on a mission to select some vegetables to use for their homemade pies.’

They had the opportunity to explore all the different varieties of fruits and vegetables sold in the shop. Mandy, the green grocer, told the Early Years about how vegetables and fruit grow and showed them how she weighed the vegetables.

When everybody got back to nursery, they used the vegetables that they had bought to make some lovely cheese and vegetable pies to take home. We hope everyone enjoyed them!
