Ready, Steady Pedal! at Children 1st @ Meir Park
Our early years children are planning to transform their pedal power into money at their forthcoming sponsored bike challenge.
The event is being held to raise much needed funds to support the work of the West Midlands Air Ambulance Charity. Saving lives is a costly business but any one of us might be glad of the air ambulance services in the future so it needs our support.
The service does not receive funding from the Government or National Lottery for its daily missions so relies entirely on the support and generosity of local people and businesses. With each air ambulance mission costing an average of £2,500, the pedal power of our children is needed to raise funds.
Our ambitious plan is to complete 30 miles to celebrate 30 years of the Air Ambulance Service. The event will commence on 16 August and take part in a safe area of the nursery car park. All families should have received a sponsor form and we invite you to help us raise as much money as we can, whilst also raising awareness of the service.
Please spread the word of the event so we can rally outside support.
Good luck everyone!
Thank-you from all at Meir Park
