Scarecrows, Bike-a-Thon and a Coffee Morning at Children 1st @ Leek Pre-School

The children have been very busy making scarecrows and then raising money for the BBC Children in Need Appeal.

The Early Years and Peter Rabbit children loved making their own scarecrows! We had a wide variety of scarecrow competition entries from Peppa Pig to Humpty Dumpty and have had lots of fun creating a scarecrow for the pre-school playground! We even had a fantastic scarecrow themed hat made!

We also had a ‘wheelie’ good time raising money for Children in Need. From a bike-a-thon during which parents and staff rode a total of 203 miles in 8 hours, to face painting and a coffee morning where our parents and carers came in to play and enjoy some lovely homemade cakes, it was a week of activity for a great cause.  The week ended with a spotty pyjama day.

Thanks to everyone for their support which helped us raise £91.00 in total from kind donations.
