Shiver Me Timbers at Children 1st @ Main Street

Our pirate themed day saw the children arriving at nursery dressed in their fantastic pirate costumes ready to take part in so many exciting and fun activities.

The Peter Rabbits enjoyed listening to a wonderful pirate story one of their friends had brought into nursery. The children also welcomed a special friendly ‘parrot’ to join them for the day. He loved listening to the story with them. The children also took part in a treasure hunt to find some gold doubloons to match the number on their treasure chest.

Our under 2s did a great job of making pirate hats to wear for our pirate picnic tea. They used chalk to make colourful marks on the card and stuck a skull and cross bone on the front. What a brilliant effort!

In early years the children decorated their pirate pictures using different coloured crayons. They also had fun with a pirate themed lotto game finding the items and matching them to their card.

To finish the day the children enjoyed a pirate themed picnic tea. Delicious!
