Soapy Mark Making at Children 1st @ Hathern

The Benjamin Bunnies and Peter Rabbits have been exploring the different ways we can make marks so we decided to add a soapy water tray to our outdoor activities. This was a simple but effective way of helping them to develop their mark making skills in a fun way.

The children were very curious as they used their fingers to make lines and circles. As they became more engrossed in this activity they started to move their hands around the tray to create larger marks. They loved the tactile nature of the activity as they traced their fingers through the slimy soap. Some of the older Peter Rabbits were able to practise copying the letters of their names! Well done!
