Splishing and Sploshing at Children 1st @ Oakwood
For our February staff meeting the focus was based around the key benefits of water play. Staff from each room planned stimulating water play activities for the children to explore and enjoy. I think it is safe to say that the resulting activities have been a massive hit with our children.
Water play can provide lots of benefits to children, such as increasing fine motor skills and improving hand-eye coordination, developing new vocabulary and expanding on a child’s problem solving capabilities. Above all for the children, splishing and sploshing, pouring and floating, it’s great fun!
