Support for Ukraine from Children 1st @ Meir Park
Over the past week our families have generously given their support to help create some much-needed welfare packages which will be donated to an orphanage in the small Polish city of Ustka which is now home to 120 children from Kiev.
The staff at Meir Park have been overwhelmed by the fantastic response to the appeal and the goods have now been loaded up ready to be transported to Poland. The picture above shows just a small sample of donations.
The Early Years’ children have also been busy supporting the children in Ukraine. Wearing their blue and yellow clothes, they have created Ukrainian flags, drawn pictures and written letters to send to children in the Ukraine to help bring a smile to their faces.
We hope these donations and the children’s pictures show the Ukranian refugees that people care about what has happened to them, they are not forgotten and that their plight has moved us all.
We would like to say a BIG THANK YOU to everyone who has donated so far. It is amazing to see how supportive everybody is being in this hard time!
