Tai Chi at Children 1st @ Toton

The Early Years were very fortunate to have a special visit from Lan who came along to share some Tai Chi stretches and different movements to music. The children all loved it! As the photos show, Lan is very accomplished in the art of Tai Chi and the children were in awe of her skills. They focused really well and were keen to have a go themselves.

This activity was all part of our continuing Chinese New Year celebrations.

Miss Tina showed the children lots of different traditional decorations and items including videos of traditional lion and dragon dances, as well as giving the children lots of information about what happens during the New Year celebrations.

The children were great at following written instructions to make their very own spring rolls and even created their own decorations by adding coloured tissue paper to paper lanterns.

Our special Chinese tea was a wonderful end to our celebrations. Well done everyone!
