Tasting, Smelling and Touching at Children 1st @ Leicester
Here at Leicester we’re finding out about our senses.
The Early Years’ children have had lots of fun with a blind tasting activity. They put on a blindfold to taste and try to identify yogurt, jelly and custard. The children said that the food tasted slimy but delicious. They are excited for the next round of blind tasting which will give them the opportunity to sample a range of fruits and maybe a few surprises!
Meanwhile, the Peter Rabbits loved exploring their senses by doing some ice painting in the tuff spot. They used the paint brushes to move the ice around on the paper and enjoyed watching the marks they were making!
The Peter Rabbits children also had lots of fun exploring on the sensory display board. They listened to the sounds of the birds and smelled all the different scents of the flowers. The clouds felt beautifully soft in their fingers.
