Teddy Bears’ Picnic at Children 1st @ Newark
Having thoroughly enjoyed the book, ‘Paddington Bear at the Circus’ by Michael Bond, the children were keen to chat about their own teddy bears and decided it would be a good idea to bring them to nursery for the day. The early years thought it would be great if the visiting teddies could join us for a special picnic.
On the chosen day the early years and Peter Rabbits all brought in their favourite teddies to enjoy a fun-filled day. There were bear hats to make, stories to share and sandwiches to prepare for the picnic tea. Of course, the sandwiches had to have a marmalade filling because Paddington bear just loves them!
As Ava commented, “These sandwiches are what Paddington takes to the circus.”
The teddy bears were treated to some outdoor adventures and the children loved taking them for a ride in the cars and on the bikes.
We hope you enjoy looking through the photographs showing the day the teddy bears came to nursery.
