Teeth, Twigs and Seas at Children 1st @ Buckinghams
Wow! The Peter Rabbits have been focusing on oral hygiene and what a good job they are doing to ensure their teeth sparkle. As well as learning about why oral hygiene is important and the correct way to brush, they’ve been getting in some extra practice by brushing their teeth at nursery. This is proving to be a very popular activity with the Peter Rabbits. Keep up the good work!
In addition to all that brushing, the Peter Rabbits have been out and about searching for natural objects. Their searches took them around the garden where they gathered a collection of twigs, leaves, flowers and grass which they placed in the sand tray for close inspection using their magnifying lenses. They wondered at the patterns made by mother nature and were delighted when tiny bugs crept out. These were safely returned to the garden.
Elsewhere in nursery the children have been enjoying activities inspired by ‘The Rainbow Fish’ by Marcus Pfiser as part of their sea themed week. Using the theme as an opportunity to teach the children about the harm caused to marine life by rubbish in the sea, they were tasked with freeing creatures caught up in plastic and then clearing their ‘ocean’ of the rubbish.
