The Big Red Fire Engine Visits Children 1st @ Toton.

Our latest topic, ‘People in our Community,’ got off to a flying start with a visit from the Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service. The children were so excited when they saw the big red engine parked up in the car park.

The fire officers shared some important information, such as dialling 999 in an emergency, and the purpose of a smoke alarm. The children saw the different parts of the fire engine and all the special equipment carried on the machine.

They really enjoyed sitting up high in the cab of the fire engine, seeing the flashing lights, hearing the sirens, and especially loved using the hose to squirt the water!

Thank-you so much to Nottingham Fire and Rescue Service for coming to visit us and for all your hard work to keep us safe. The children didn’t stop talking about the visit all day.
