The Colour Monster at Children 1st @ St. Peter and St Paul

Our Peter Rabbits  have loved looking at their new favourite story, ‘The Colour Monster,’ a series of delightful books which encourages the children to begin to understand their feelings and emotions.

The books have inspired many activities such as food tasting which linked to the different colours from the story and allowed the children to then link this to their emotions.

We explored all the different colour monsters and the children’s favourite was ‘Love.’ We made various marks whilst talking about the story with the children describing how they were feeling.

The children have also enjoyed exploring through sensory experiences, such as when brightly coloured paper fell down on them and they talked about the colours they could see.

With such fun activities and delightful stories, we’ve had lots of smiling faces this week!
