Under the Sea at Children 1st @ Meir Park

The Rainbow Fish tells the story of a beautiful fish who discovers the meaning of friendship and personal beauty. He’s so vain and proud but discovers that you can’t win friends through beauty and soon begins to share his glittery scales with the other fish.

The illustrations in the book are beautiful and so with a great plot line to accompany the wonderful pictures we decided to focus on the book as part of our ‘Under the Sea’ topic.

After listening to the story, the Peter Rabbits loved exploring our Rainbow Fish tuff tray! They enjoyed feeling the textures of the bubble fish and the sand. We spoke about all of the gorgeous colours in the book and the various sea creatures in our mini ocean.
