Watching the Garden Grow at Children 1st @ Rosemary Lane
Back in June one of the families here at Rosemary Lane donated some vegetable plants for the nursery garden. They brought some tomato plants, courgette plants and pepper plants so our nursery gardeners got to work and planted them in our vegetable patch.
We talked about how to keep our plants healthy, so they grow big and our gardeners suggested giving them lots of water and to make sure that nobody touched them while they were growing.
Just a few weeks later, the gardeners are really pleased to see how well everything has grown. Mini cucumbers are forming, and tiny tomatoes are appearing. We’re going to be keeping a close eye on how they continue to grow and can’t wait until they are ready to harvest for use in our lunch at nursery.
Our gardeners are very proud to see the plants doing so well as a result of their hard work. Many thanks to the donors of the plants whose kind gift has enabled our gardeners to learn so much about raising food crops.
