Wheelie Painting Fun at Children 1st @ Bilborough
Making the most of the sunny weather, our early years’ children have had lots of fun and laughter whilst exploring paint and developing their gross motor skills.
Children have used bikes to wheel paint creating many colourful marks on a large scale. Our children soon began to understand that different tools and media can be combined to create new effects.
The young artists worked in pairs to co-operatively ride their bikes across the paper avoiding obstacles and each other.
The children were able to keep this play going by responding to what their friends were saying and doing. They demonstrated friendly behaviours and were accepting of each other’s needs and were happy to take turns.
Children enjoy playing and exploring with a range of media and materials. Here are a few simple activities you could try at home:
Water balloon painting
Water gun painting
Painting with large brushes and water
Hand and feet painting
Painting with a mop or sweeping brush
If you decide to have a go, please let us know how you get on.
