World Penguin Day at Children 1st @ Plumtree
Across our nursery the children have taken part in many different activities to celebrate World Penguin Day which is held each year to encourage us all to learn more about penguins and their environment.
The children enjoyed a variety of conversations with members of staff and their friends using words such as ‘waddle’, ‘huddle’, ‘cold’ and ‘igloo’. They painted pictures of penguins and looked at information books to find out more about them.
The younger children explored the ice cubes and used the word ‘cold’ very frequently!
Everyone had so much fun and now know so much about penguins!
