Wriggling Tadpoles at Children 1st @ Acorns Upper Tean
Our Spring theme continues at Acorns with our investigations and observations of the life cycle of a frog. Some frog spawn was kindly donated by one of our families which has given us the opportunity to closely observe the changes that happen to the spawn and the emerging tadpoles.
We took a close look at the spawn and had lots of discussions on what it looked like. The final decision was that it looked like jelly!
We have also discussed the life cycle of a frog, so we know what will happen next and what we will see through each of the stages.
We’re all so excited now as we have wriggling tadpoles! It has taken just over a week for them to develop. We noticed that they had started to develop their front legs. We can’t wait to see what happens next!
