Young Firefighters in Action at Children 1st @ Hathern

Watch out… Children 1st @ Hathern firefighters about!

The children had a super morning when some of Leicestershire’s finest firefighters came to visit our nursery. They even brought their shiny red fire engine for the children to explore.

The children all loved exploring inside the fire engine, sitting in the driver’s seat and pretending to drive! They toured the outside of the engine as the fire fighter showed them some of the equipment carried on the big machine.

Afterwards the children had the opportunity to spray the fire hose in the car park! They were all so amazed and excited. We even had a waterfall spray over us when one of the firefighters sprayed up to the sky!

This wonderful visit was all part of our ‘People Who Help Us’ topic and follows on from our themed dress up day which we held recently.
